Trust me, you don’t want to miss them.
Let’s face it. Technology is everywhere. Even more so in the Healthcare Industry. And the one thing about healthcare is that it is CONSTANTLY changing. You can’t go to the doctors or the hospital without seeing some sort of technological machine. Without technology, huge advancements in the medical industry (like antibiotics, new machines, etc.) would not be here today.
For these advances to come to fruition, it takes a lot of research, time, and money. Which is why it is important to be aware of what HealthTech Startups are doing.
Here are a few companies that stood out and shown how exciting and innovative the healthcare industry is.
1) Nutrix
Nutrix is a startup based in Switzerland. They develop sensors that assist with digital health monitoring. The idea behind Nutrix is that it will give people the capability to monitor their health before going to a doctor. How they do that is by non-invasive glucose monitoring via saliva. (I know sounds weird). But honestly, if you read more into it, it is pretty cool.
Nutrix has been picked for TechCrunch’s 2020 Disrupt program. Which, is pretty neat and means we need to look out for this up and coming HealthTech company.
2) Dieta
Dieta is an app that can help track patients’ digestive issues. With this app, you can track your food intake, medication, activity, and your symptoms. In addition to being able to keep track of what your days are like, you are also able to receive personal recommendations and talk to a gastrointestinal specialist or a dietitian.
Back in August, Dieta moved to Minneapolis to participate in the United Healthcare Techstar Program.
3) Kintsugi
Another HealthTech Startup that is participating in the United Healthcare Techstars program. Kintsugi is a talk therapy software for mental health that is powered by your voice. Interesting, ay? They use voice biomarkers to measure and predict individual well-being.
So all you have to do is download the app and start speaking your mind or venting whenever or wherever. You’re also able to choose different wellness exercises to help better analyze your own thoughts.
Honorable Mention: KiddoWear
KiddoWear is ANOTHER HealthTech Startup apart of the United Healthcare Techstars program. They provide a wearable smart device that tracks key vitals- perspiration, activity, heart rate, and temperature. A cool thing about this is that doctors will be able to access this real-time data to help better understand a child’s health and identify potential health issues.
